Now Active: World Of Hyatt Bonus Journeys Promotion, Stays Count Double Until January 4, 2021

World of Hyatt’s most recent promotion Bonus Journeys is now active from today October 1, 2020 until January 4, 2021 during which all stays will count double: Once for 2020 but also roll over into the next membership year 2021.

World of Hyatt members also earn triple points while affiliated credit cardholders get quadruple during the entire duration of the campaign.

You can access the World of Hyatt direct promotion link here (registration is now active and required).

Register first by November 30 and stay through January 4, 2021.

All members can earn 3X points for every qualifying stay (up to 150,000 Bonus Points)

World of Hyatt credit cardmembers can earn 4X points for every qualifying resort stay (up to 75,000 Bonus Points)

All nights count twice for everyone – once when they’re earned and again in 2021 toward elite status and Milestone Rewards.

World of Hyatt has also decided to extend the award rebate of 15% or 25% for credit cardholders through January 4, 2021. Parking is also included on all award stays until January 4, 2021 which is usually only a Globalist benefit. I wrote about that extension here.

Hyatt appears to be in a battle for business right now but has been very slow in re-opening their hotels, all the while the competition has been rolling out status match campaigns and extremely lucrative rates.

Conclusion

This is a great promotion. I’m happy that so far I haven’t done any Hyatt stays yet except for the few from early January. With the nights from now until the end of the year counting for 2021 as well and with the 3X/4x promo I might be enticed to stay a good chunk of nights over the next few months to make my life a bit easier during 2021.

In my opinion Hyatt has had a great start by extending customers status early but right now their hotels that were closed are very slow in reopening and the rates for the hotels that have re-opened are lackluster. From my perspective here in Asia the chain that is running the market right now is Marriott which has a lot of hotels open and cut throat rates. Of course I do realize this all depends on the owner/operator.
