Here is everything you need to know if you are heading to Disney World in Florida.

Is Disney World closed and when will it reopen?

Disney World Orlando closed on March 16,  following 42 cases of coronavirus reported in Florida – the state now has nearly 5,000 reported cases.

At the time, bosses said that the theme park would stay closed until the end of the month.

However, they have now updated that information to say that the parks will remain closed until further notice.

Disney’s water parks and hotel resorts are also closed indefinitely.

Tickets for 2020 that were purchased before March 16 will automatically be extended to either December 2020 or September 2021, depending on their type.

What is the US travel advice for the US?

President Donald Trump has banned all travel from Europe to the country, including the UK.

The current advice from the UK Foreign Office states: “The US authorities have introduced a number of measures to limit the spread of the virus.

“If you live in the UK and are currently travelling in the USA, you are strongly advised to return to the UK now .

“As of March 16, it will not be possible for many British nationals to enter the USA, except for in a number of specific categories.

“Those who are able to enter the USA from the UK by air will be required to do so through one of 13 designated USA airports and being asked to self-isolate for 14 days.

“Many states and major cities now have orders in place that restrict the movement of people outside their homes or accommodation.”
