Set in an abandoned junkyard in an open-air space at the theme park, it has been inspired by the Freak Show “scare zone” which has previously been seen at the park.
According to Alton Towers: “After being hunted and cast out of the community, the last of the Freak Show psycho clowns have gone into hiding, plotting in secret their next “BIG SHOW”.
“Will dare devils entering the junkyard be able to help stop their evil plan or will they become the main attraction of the next performance?”
The fear factor means it is only open to guests over the age of 15, the same as The Attic: Terror of the Towers – home to the revenge-driven Governess ghost – and Altonville Mine Tours – home to the terrifying Skin Snatchers – both returning this year as well.

Also new this year is the Garden Lights Walk: Whispering Souls, a free experience for all ages where guests can walk through the park’s gardens with exciting and scary new experiences throughout.
Young children can also take part in the CBeebies Land Monster Ball in CBeebies Land, where they are invited to dress up in their favourite outfits.
Scarefest starts from October 9 for a limited two days, then will run from October 16 to November 1.
The park will remain open until 9pm every evening, with guests also able to ride the rollercoasters and attractions at night.
