A DRINK at the pub is most missed during lockdown, with friends and families not able to meet for a pint right now.
Thankfully, there are many converted pubs in the UK where you can stay the weekend after lockdown, which have kept the fully working bars inside – here are the best of the bunch.

Practice being pub landlord and serve the drinks while staying
Split into two sections, the former 16th century pub is perfect for groups of friends and families as it normally sleeps up to 23 but this will obviously be limited depending on restrictions.
The main pub retains its original features, and offers a traditional bar which can be stocked with beers on tap upon request.
You can even request a fully cooked breakfast or Sunday Roast from the owners.

Set in the quaint village of Long Clawson, within the county of Leicestershire, is converted former pub The Old Star Inn.
Dating back to the 17th century, touches of the property’s history can be found throughout, such as the original pub features, while it has also been renovated to house a farmhouse style kitchen and hot tub.
There are five bedrooms, as well as an outdoor seating area for the summer months.

Normally sleeping 20, with eight bedrooms, the pub sits next to the waterside church of St Peter’s, making it also a great spot for wedding parties.
A pool table provides fun-filled hours, whilst others can gather around the open fire for a more relaxing evening.
