The selection of cities this time around is slim this time around, with just two US cities plus Mexico City. Mexico City seems like an out-of-the-way route to get to Europe, but it may appeal to some.
For those based in Houston, this could be a pretty good deal depending on where in Europe you’re headed. For example, here is Houston to Prague in Premium economy.
As is typically the case with Flying Blue awards, prices vary in ways that might not make sense to you. For example, if you fly from Houston to Paris in economy class, it’ll cost you 14,500 miles and $85.
Yet if you continue on to Budapest in economy class, you’ll save 3,000 miles (while paying an additional $14.45 in taxes).
You can even score economy class from Minneapolis for a bit less.
That may or may not be a deal depending on your dates and city pairs and mileage rates obviously vary. However, given the time period covered, I imagine some will want to know the just what the magic of April in Paris is all about, so this could come in handy.
Quick Deal posts are intended to alert readers to deals big and small, with little or no analysis. Quick Deals are NOT recommendations. Readers should always use their own judgment as to whether or not a deal works for them.
