Hyatt Extends Mandatory Face Covering Requirement To Entire Americas

Hyatt announced back in July that it would follow the AHLA’s Guest Checklist and require all guests to wear a face mask in the United States and Canada.

Now, Hyatt is extending this requirement to all hotels in the Americas from August 10, 2020. There can be government-mandated mask covering requirements outside of this area as well.

Here’s the update:

IMPORTANT FACE COVERINGS UPDATE: Following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada require face coverings within indoor public areas and when moving around in outdoor areas for the foreseeable future. Beginning August 10, 2020, they will be required at all hotels in the Americas.

Conclusion

Marriott also made the mask requirement America’s wide last week, and others likely will follow in due course. Let’s do what we can reasonably do to lessen the spread of this Covid-19.
