American Airlines Business Extra New Airline Partner: Japan Airlines (JAL)

American Airlines has a Business Extra program that rewards companies whose employees fly on select airlines.

Previously only flights with American Airlines, British Airways, and Iberia have been eligible for Business Extra points, but now Japan Airlines with affiliates have joined it.

You earn 1 point for every $5 spent on eligible flights.

Conclusion

When I got this email from AA earlier today, I remembered that I need to fill in a retro claim for some BA flights that I took earlier this year.

Business Extra could perhaps make some sense if the flight credits would be automated, but in my case, I need to request them manually each and every time. Usually, I just don’t bother considering how little you earn.

It is nice, however, that they have a new Oneworld partner airline joining this scheme. Hopefully, Finnair would do the same.
