Which Greek islands are on the quarantine list?

CRETE was removed from the quarantine list for Greece in the UK government’s weekly announcement this week.

Scotland and Wales also removed their blanket ban on the mainland and islands in Greece – here is everything you need to know about the islands where you still have to quarantine.

Which Greek islands are on England’s quarantine list?

Just one island remains on the quarantine list – Mykonos.

This is the same for Scotland, Wales and England, who previously had different rules depending on the islands.

Anyone visiting Mykonos from the UK will have to quarantine for two weeks on their return.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps changed the restrictions for Lesbos, Tinos, Serifos, Santorini and Zakynthos earlier this month, which left restrictions just for Mykonos and Crete.

Crete was removed from the list yesterday, which will come into effect from this weekend.

Is Zante on the quarantine list?

Zante – or Zakynthos – was removed from the quarantine list and has been safe to travel to since October 10.

This is a huge boost to British holidaymakers with the popular tourist destination having been deemed safe only for essential last month.

Is Rhodes on the quarantine list?

Rhodes remains off the quarantine list for England, Wales and Scotland as well.

It is worth checking local restrictions however, as some the islands are enforcing a night-time curfew from midnight to 7am.

Is Santorini on the quarantine list?

Santorini was removed from the quarantine list on October 10.

The island already had a travel corridor with Wales, and has since been removed from Scotland’s quarantine list.

There are travel restrictions on the island which includes a night-time curfew from midnight to 7am.

A tourist in Santorini warned of large crowds and people ignoring face masks at some of the popular hotspots after being met by huge groups trying to take a picture at sunset.

Face masks must be worn in public, while curfews range from midnight to 5am or midnight to 7am depending on the island.

You must also fill in a Passenger Locator Form before arriving in the country although this is free to do.
