A SUMMER holiday in Wales may not be possible after all as the five-mile travel limit is to remain in place.
While lockdown measures have been eased across England, Wales has refused to lift the travel distance guidelines any time soon.

First Minister Mark Drakeford said there were no plans to lift the measures before July, the beginning of the summer season.
He said during the Welsh government’s coronavirus briefing: “We have no immediate plans to lift the stay-local message in Wales”.
He added that while it will remain in place until July 10, he couldn’t be sure if it will be “another six or nine or 12 weeks,” until it changes.
Even if the tourism industry restarts, with hotels and attractions opening on a limited basis, the limit is likely to remain in place as well.
It is bad news for holidaymakers hoping for a trip to the Brecon Beacons or Snowdonia this summer.

Mr Drakeford continued: “It’s a difficult tightrope to walk because we want to lift lockdown measures further but we don’t want people to run away with the idea that coronavirus is over.
“Even if we are down to 50 new cases every day, we’ve no idea who those 50 people might be, because coronavirus is a silent spreader. So it’s still very important to carry on with social distancing and with staying local.”
England is looking at hotels and campsites to begin opening from July, with limited capacity and additional health precautions.
Brits can currently travel without distance-restrictions across England, but Scotland and Wales are yet to follow suit.
