Jet2 cancels holidays to Malaga, Alicante and Portugal until 2021

JET2 has cancelled holidays to Malaga and Alicante, as well as Faro, until 2021, as the destinations remain on the UK’s quarantine list.

Both Spain and mainland Portugal were removed from the UK’s travel corridor list in recent months due to their rising number of coronavirus cases.

The tour operator has been forced to stop holidays until next year, with no sign of the destinations being open to Brits again without having to quarantine in the UK.

They explained on social media: “Due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the latest government travel advice, we have taken the decision to extend the suspension of flights and holidays to Malaga, Alicante and Faro (The Algarve).

“Flights and holidays to Malaga and Alicante are suspended up to and including 10th February 2021.

“Flights and holidays to Faro (The Algarve) are suspended from 1st November up to and including 10th February 2021 and we are continuing to operate a revised flying programme for flight-only customers up to and including 31st October.”

The destinations are just some of the holiday cancellations from the airline.

Trips to Lanzarote, Tenerife and Gran Canaria have been stopped until next month, which is likely to be extended.

However, more flights have been added to Rhodes in Greece and Madeira in Spain, both of which remain quarantine free.

Jet2 has also launched their latest flash sale, offering £50pp off holidays booked in October and November, with Rhodes and Madeira included in the sale.
