Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus is extending miles that expired yesterday (March 31) or are about to on June 30 through September 30, 2020, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
This extension is automatic and there is nothing that members need to do. It is unclear, however, what Thai Airways is planning to do members with status. Are tiers extended by a year?

We are very grateful for your kind patronage to THAI and appreciate your loyalty as a Royal Orchid Plus member. Due to global spread of COVID-19, we understand that your travel plans may be postponed and opportunity to use the redeemed awards using miles may be reduce. In gratitude for your continuing support, we are pleased to relieve your worries by extending the expiring miles you may have on 31 March and 30 June 2020 until 30 September 2020.
Please note that apart from Air Awards, there are other Lifestyle Award Options which can be redeemed instantly using your member ID and PIN to log in your account.
We look forward to having the pleasure of welcoming you on board THAI and enjoy our Royal Orchid Service again in the near future.
This miles expiry extension gives members some more time to decide what to do with their miles. It is unclear right now when you can use them on awards flights.
